Context

A global industrial technology company engaged Bejo to architect a next-generation IoT platform for real-time energy monitoring and optimisation across manufacturing facilities. The existing infrastructure was fragmented across legacy systems, and the organisation needed a scalable, cloud-native architecture designed and validated before committing to a multi-million-pound build programme.

Problem statement
  • Existing architecture was a patchwork of legacy OT systems with no unified data layer—making real-time energy optimisation impossible at scale
  • Multiple architecture proposals had been produced internally but none had been validated against real-world constraints, integration complexity, or customer requirements
